The Township Assessor is responsible for determining the fair market value of taxable property within the City of Champaign Township to equitably distribute the tax burden. We are also here to answer any questions regarding yours, or any other properties’ assessment and exemption information.
The Township Assessor’s office houses all Property Record Cards for parcels inside the City of Champaign. These include sketches of buildings as well as year built and building attributes. Cards also contain historical data regarding permits and sales records.

There are several assessment exemptions available to homeowners. To check for eligibility and to download applications, please use the link below. Any questions regarding senior citizen exemptions may be addressed at the Township Assessor’s office, for all other exemptions please refer to the Champaign County Assessment Office.
