At Strides, we envision a community where every individual has access to safe shelter, trauma informed support and the opportunity to rebuild their life.
At the heart of our work is the belief that every individual has the right to define what success looks like for themselves. We honor each person’s unique goals, strengths, and experiences by supporting self-determination and walking alongside them as they take the next steps toward a brighter future.
Strides is more than a shelter- it’s a community where hope is restored, relationships are built, and every neighbor is given the opportunity to be seen, heard, and valued. Together, with the support of our community, we can continue creating a place where everyone has the chance to thrive.

Operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, we provide more than emergency shelter and services- we offer a place where every person is welcomed with dignity, compassion, and respect.

Services We Provide:
We believe that everyone deserves a safe place to rest and the opportunity to move forward, regardless of where they are on their journey. That’s why Strides does not require sobriety, abstinence, or a criminal background check to access services. Instead, we meet people where they are, recognizing that trust, stability, and human connection are the foundation for lasting change.

Intake Process
- Guest completes an intake to be added to the waitlist (intakes available Wednesdays, 9am-6pm)
- Guest returns each Wednesday to check status of waitlist
- Once available, guest receives a bed and claims their bed, nightly, between 7pm and 10pm
- After 10pm, any unclaimed beds are forfeited and opened for new guests on
Storage
Guests are permitted ONE 30-gallon container for storage of personal belongings.
