Our Township office is only able to serve community members within the city limits of Champaign.
It is required that the applicant’s name be on a current lease OR have a letter from a property manager stating that the applicant will be residing in the unit once initial payment is made.
This program requires a household to prove income to ensure sustainability after receiving funds from the Township’s assistance program. Please apply when you secure income.
The Township cannot assist households with future rent, and a household must either already have a unit in their name or have a unit that is pre-approved for them. The Township does not assist with finding housing for households that are currently homeless. Please contact the Tenant’s Union for that matter.
The Township requires that you give the case manager permission to contact your landlord/property manager directly regarding your rental assistance application.
